S.T.E.P. deputies locate missing juvenile from Virginia

On 10/4/13 deputies assigned to the S.T.E.P. unit received information that a wanted person from Virginia Beach, VA was living in a mobile home in Newton’s MHP off of Kyle Sorrell Rd.  Deputies made contact with a male subject, later identified as Weylon Wallace, and a female at the residence.  Wallace provided deputies with false information as to his identity in an attempt to conceal his warrants from Virginia but was eventually arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office.  The female was determined to be a 16 year old juvenile and also found to be a runaway from Virginia Beach since 2012.  She was taken into custody as well.  The juvenile female was detained in the Claxton RYDC pending return to Virginia.  Additional charges are possible against Wallace for his part in harboring the juvenile.  At this time Wallace is held without bond at the Bulloch County Jail on charges of Giving False Information to Law Enforcement, Obstruction, and Contributing to the Delinquency of  a Minor along with his warrants from Virginia.
