On 3/18/14 investigators with the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team served a search warrant at Sea Pines Apartments in the 9000 block of Burkhalter Rd, Statesboro Ga. The search warrant was based on drug purchases from the tenant of the apartment, Jeromy Lee Keaveney (28 yoa, Burkhalter Rd, Statesboro Ga). Keaveney fled out of the apartment but was taken into custody after a short foot chase. The search revealed marijuana at the location. Keaveney was charged with four counts of Sale of Marijuana, one count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, one count of Obstruction, one count of Possession/Use of a Drug Related Object, and parole violation.
Keaveney was paroled from the state prison system after having served three years of a ten year sentence for multiple burglaries, according to the Ga Dept of Corrections website.
