The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office is solely responsible for maintaining the safety of the State and Superior Courthouses located within Bulloch County. We are also responsible for transporting prisoners and serving warrants and civil process. These functions are combined into a Court Services Division headed by a Captain. Court Services operates out of the Bulloch County Judicial Annex.
Persons entering the courthouse should expect to be scanned by a walk through metal detector and have all personal items processed through an X-ray machine. If security personnel believes that a person is in possession of a weapon or contraband that person may be subject to a more thorough search of their person. Any items considered weapons or contraband will be seized on the spot and criminal charges may be brought forth. Anyone failing to comply with these regulations will not be allowed entry into the courthouse.
