Over the past two days, Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team members have conducted search warrants on target locations and conducted saturation patrols in conjunction with the Statesboro Police Dept
- CST investigators re-arrested Edward James Rawls (29 yoa, Baldwin St Statesboro Ga) on charges of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) with intent to distribute, and driving while license suspended. Rawls was previously arrested by CST in January 2014 for possession of cocaine when he was found with the cocaine at The Lodge Apartments on Institute St. Rawls is a parolee and a hold has been placed on his release by his parole officer. Part of CST’s mission is to focus on repeat offenders such as Rawls.
- CST investigators served a search warrant at Campus Crossing Apartments on Lanier Drive. Keilan Mann (20 yoa, Lanier Drive Statesboro Ga) was arrested on charges of sale of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Approximately $4000 and several ounces of marijuana were seized pursuant to the search warrant.
- CST investigators worked a concentrated patrol in areas of high crime activity in Statesboro. A traffic stop on a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt on West Jones Avenue led to the seizure of a quarter pound of marijuana and the arrests of Kendra Herrington (26 yoa, Dannie Cartee Rd Statesboro Ga) on charges of defective equipment and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and James Johnson (36 yoa, Spring St Statesboro Ga) for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
- A traffic stop by Master Deputy Mark Guarino on a 1994 Chevrolet S 10 for an equipment violation led to the arrest of its driver, Steven Way (35 yoa, Martin Swinson Rd Ellabell Ga) for driving while his license was suspended. Further investigation found that the passenger in the vehicle, Jeffery Cox (51 yoa, Martin Swinson Rd Ellabell Ga), was in possession of methamphetamine. Both were arrested and transported to the Bulloch County Jail.
