Burglary in progress results in arrest

On 8/14/14 patrol deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 19000 block of US 80 W, Statesboro, after the female homeowner walked in on a burglary in progress.  The female complainant indicated that the suspect, a black male, had entered her residence and then fled when she confronted him.  The complainant was able to provide a detailed description of the suspect and of the vehicle in which he fled.  The suspect left driving eastbound on US 80 W towards Statesboro.

Lt Bobby Durden and Cpl Bob Dinello were clearing from an alarm call on US 80 W when the call was dispatched.  They were able to locate the suspect vehicle on Veterans Memorial Parkway near Williams Rd and conduct a felony traffic stop.  The driver, later identified as Lester Charles Wadley Jr (28 yoa, Chandler Rd, Statesboro), was taken into custody and positively identified by the complainant.  Wadley was transported to the Bulloch County Jail where he remains without bond pending further judicial action.  He was charged with one count of Burglary in the First Degree.
