On 8/22/13 deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s Targeted Enforcement Patrol (STEP) unit teamed up with investigators from the Bulloch County Drug Suppression Team to work several parts of the county together.  These included rural Brooklet, areas of student housing near GSU, and high drug areas near Statesboro.  At the end of the concentrated patrols, seven individuals were in custody with charges ranging from possession with intent to distribute marijuana to one individual arrested near Brooklet, Chester Larimore, who is wanted for vehicle theft out of Placer County California.

STEP deputies and BCDST investigators will continue their partnership in future as a joint approach to working high crime and drug plagued areas.
