The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing the highest level of public service while practicing the ultimate ideals of law enforcement distinction. Additionally, it is our mission to: protect the judiciary, execute orders of the courts, support our law enforcement partners, and provide for the care, custody and control of legally incarcerated inmates. Our duties and responsibilities, as mandated by the Constitution of the State of Georgia, are:
- Operating the jail for the safety and security of the community while providing a safe, humane, and secure environment for both the staff and inmates;
- Properly receiving and serving civil processes and subpoenas and order from the Probate, Magistrate, State, and Superior Courts;
- Properly receiving and executing criminal warrants originating from the Recorder’s, Magistrate, State, and Superior Courts;
- Providing for the safety of and security of the Superior, State, Magistrate, Recorder’s, and Juvenile Courts and their respective Judges and Officiates.
In addition to those mandates we are also a full service law enforcement agency, complete with the following divisions: Road Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Court Services, and the Crime Suppression Team.
Ultimately, the Office of Sheriff is charged with maintaining the peace of this county and the apprehension of those who commit criminal offenses.
